What is the main purpose of the role?
Working as part of our Commercial Finance Team, you’ll provide financial reporting and data analysis support via the improvement of reports currently available and the development of new management information to enhance management of the business and strategic decision making.
The role will involve the preparation of daily, weekly and periodic management reports along with the investigation of trends, analytical review and interpretation of data to allow you to provide input into the creation of business plans and forecasts, and the subsequent tracking of performance.
You’ll work closely with central and property finance teams to interpret accounting information, and use your knowledge to be able to successfully and collaboratively challenge information and assumptions being used. A major part of this role will be to undertake new investigations in in areas of business performance and provide recommendations for future actions by designing, maintaining and operating various dashboards in specific business areas such as Food & Beverage, Payroll and Group Sales.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role would be most suited to someone from a highly analytical background with exceptionally strong Excel skills as the successful candidate must be comfortable importing and manipulating large volumes of data from differing sources and in varying formats, whilst demonstrating that the analysis remains integral and relevant.
You’ll need to be able to work to a consistently high standard in a fast paced environment and have great communication skills, both written and oral. Good customer service skills are also key, and you’ll need the confidence to be able to challenge stakeholders where necessary whilst maintaining a strong rapport.
It’s also desirable that you have knowledge of an ERP system and are Qualified/Part Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA.
